Mesa Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 course spanning 6,900 to 7,087 yards, designed by renowned architect William "Billy" Bell in 1948. Located along the borders of Tempe and Scottsdale in northwest Mesa, Arizona, the parkland-style layout features towering eucalyptus and pine trees lining mature fairways.
The course is distinguished by dramatic elevation changes as it moves along the plateau from which Mesa derives its name, creating challenging topography with holes twisting left and right throughout. The club emphasizes pace of play, targeting three-hour 45-minute rounds. Notable amenities extend beyond golf, including fitness facilities, dining, lighted tennis and pickleball courts, and a pool.
Designed as a traditional gem, the course has undergone enhancements by architect Richard Turner in 1970 and master plan improvements in 2024. The club operates on a member-owned basis, limiting play to members and their guests. The facility has hosted significant tournaments, including the 67th Invitational, and maintains an active competitive culture with events like the Men's Derby and Women's Club Championship.
