Meadowview Golf & Country Club

Meadowview Golf & Country Club is a 9-hole public course located east of Central City, Iowa, serving golfers from the surrounding region including Marion, Cedar Rapids, and Anamosa. The course was established in 1964 on a 40-acre former farm property and has evolved significantly over decades of ownership changes.

The layout features mature trees lining the fairways with four ponds strategically positioned throughout to add challenge and visual interest. The course maintains well-kept bent grass greens and is recognized for being affordable and accessible to the local golfing community. Originally designed as a shorter 9-hole layout by Gene Finnell, the course was expanded in 1996 when an additional 30 acres were developed, extending its length and playability.

Meadowview operates as a welcoming public facility with a clubhouse that serves as a social gathering point for players, particularly popular for leisurely rounds followed by refreshments. The course hosts league play, including ladies' leagues on Tuesdays and men's leagues on Thursdays, and is a member of the Eastern Iowa Invitational tournament series. The facility emphasizes affordability with competitive green fees and membership options, maintaining its tradition as one of the region's most economically accessible courses.
