Located at 2505 Boulders Drive in Denison, Iowa, Majestic Hills Golf Course is a challenging 18-hole championship layout with a par 71 from all five sets of tees. The course is defined by significant elevation changes on nearly every hole, featuring bent grass greens that range in size and shape but are never flat. Many greens possess multi-level surfaces designed to challenge even the most skilled putters. The fairways are planted in bluegrass and rye, offering very few level lies, while the thick bluegrass rough comes into play on almost every hole. The course design incorporates a mix of risk-reward opportunities and strategic demands. There are a few driveable par fours that offer options for long hitters, but the layout is heavily characterized by its five signature par 3 holes, where making par in a round is considered a significant accomplishment. The back nine features long par 5s that are often played into the prevailing south wind, extending their distance. Sand traps are sparse and primarily positioned to prevent balls from ending up in worse areas, such as out of bounds or thick rough. Specific holes present distinct challenges, such as the 180-yard 15th hole, which is the longest on the course. This par 4 requires an elevated tee shot over water on the right side, with a sharp slope that narrows toward a green tucked into a tree-lined pocket. The 17th hole is a par 3 that requires crossing a lake to a shallow green built into the side of a hill, where steep banks guard the front and back. The 18th hole serves as a downhill finishing par 4 with out of bounds along the right side and hazards guarding the green. The 2nd hole is noted as the 2nd handicap hole, featuring an uphill drive to a narrow fairway with out of bounds on the right and a small green tucked into the slope. The 1st hole is the 1st handicap hole, an uphill par 4 with out of bounds on both sides of the tee shot and a two-tiered green.
