Lyndon Golf Course in Fayetteville, New York, is one of Central New York's oldest golf courses, with roots dating back to 1907. The original nine holes were designed by David Campbell, a member of the Onondaga Golf Club, and built on Ernest White's property adjacent to Onondaga. The club leased these nine holes until 1930, when the E.I. White family expanded the course to its current 18-hole layout with a par of 68. The course features a notable competitive history, including a legendary match between club professional John Murray and golf legend Walter Hagen, who shot 59 while Murray posted the course record of 55. Set in the Fayetteville area, Lyndon offers a compact par-68 design that reflects its early 20th-century origins while maintaining appeal to contemporary golfers. The course provides membership options and hosts leagues and tournaments.
