Lower Waitaki Golf Course ☆ Follow

Lower Waitaki Golf Course was established in 1976 as an 18-hole course with a par of 72, situated on the lower Waitaki River plain. The course is located on flat plains 12 km north of Oamaru and features easy flowing greens and well-maintained fairways, with an abundance of vegetation and scattered tricky bunkers and ponds. The course measures 6,140 yards with a course rating of 71.6 and a slope rating of 128.

The course presents a moderate challenge suitable for players of various skill levels, with its primary difficulty coming from strategic hazard placement rather than extreme topography. The flat terrain and open fairways make it accessible for golfers while the selective bunkers and water features require careful course management.
