Lockport Golf Club is a private nine-hole course set on a secluded parcel of wooded land in Will County. The course is situated on the bluffs overlooking the I&M Canal Corridor. The course has evolved significantly since its origins, with the golf course being purchased by 350 members in 1983 when Texaco ceased operation of the Lockport Refinery. In 1989, watered fairways were added to the course.

The course features 2 par fives offering the opportunity to go "LOW", and three challenging par threes, with a variety of par fours offering both risks and rewards to test players of all skill levels and well bunkered and very challenging greens. With three doglegs and a well placed tree on a short par three, the course has enough variety to make every round interesting. The 9-hole course features 2,401 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 33.

Over the past four decades, the course has undergone substantial improvements. A Bio-ject system was installed to help maintain the tees, fairways and greens, a new hole was added to the course and then two consecutive par-3's were combined into one hole to make the course more challenging, and many additional tee boxes have been added.
