Limburg Course
Course Information
Address:
Limburg
Netherlands
The Limburg Course is a nine-hole layout located at International Golf Maastricht in the Netherlands, situated near the border with Belgium. Opened in April 2016, the course is designed as a shorter alternative to the facility's 18-hole Championship Course, catering to players seeking a round that takes less than two hours to complete. The layout consists of one par 5, six par 4s, and two par 3s, with a total par of 35. The course measures 4,384 yards and carries a Slope Rating of 114 and a Course Rating of 65.9. While the holes are shorter than those on the Championship Course, making the layout accessible for beginners, it remains challenging for experienced golfers. The primary difficulty stems from the requirement for players to use irons for their tee shots, demanding precise shot-making and control rather than relying on distance off the tee. Access to the Limburg Course requires a specific course permit, distinguishing it from the general qualifying status of the main 18-hole layout. The course is part of a cross-border golfing facility that also includes the sister course Golf Henri-Chapelle in Belgium, allowing for a unique "drive in the Netherlands & putt in Belgium" experience. The setting is characterized by the rolling terrain typical of the Limburg region, providing a distinct landscape for this nine-hole configuration.
