Located in Guilin, the Lemandi Golf Club is a 36-hole facility designed by American golf course architect David. The course spans 2400 acres and is divided into four distinct 18-hole loops labeled A, B, C, and D. The layout is built into the natural contours of the Linghu mountains, with the design principles established by the USGA. The terrain varies significantly across the loops; Course A, B, and C feature hilly fairways dominated by mountain views, while Course D is a steep mountain course with elevation changes reaching up to 40 meters. Course B is distinguished by fairways that follow the natural shores of a lake, providing ample water hazards. The course is known for its challenging topography and strategic obstacles. The fairways are often narrow and deep, flanked by natural pine forests, bunkers, and artificial lakes. The greens are planted with certified green eagle grass, noted for their rapid speed. The difficulty is heightened by the steep slopes and the need for precise shot-making, as players must constantly adjust to the unpredictable nature of the terrain and wind conditions. Several holes stand out for their specific challenges. The 11th hole is a par 4 featuring a right dogleg with natural pine forest hillsides and a stepped green protected by a front-left sand pit. The 16th hole offers a two-stage fairway design where players must navigate water bays and bunkers to reach a high ground for a better approach. The 17th hole is a par 3 island green surrounded by water on the front and back, with a large sand pit on the right side. The 20th hole is a long par 3 that requires accurate long iron play to avoid water and sand pit obstacles, with a green that slopes from the back left to the front right. Lemandi Golf Club has a history of hosting significant tournaments, including the 6th Straits Cup Golf Invitational Tournament in 2001, the Cross-Strait Lemandi Golf Invitational Tournament in 2002, and the 2007 Audi quattro Cup Golf Tournament China Finals. The facility has been recognized as one of China's top ten golf courses, most influential golf courses, and extraordinary golf resorts. The club also features a 36-hole driving range and a golf academy for instruction.
