Lauder Golf Club is a nine-hole course played off 17 tees, located in the Scottish Borders near Lauder, Berwickshire. Founded in 1896, the course was initially laid out under the supervision of Willie Park Jnr., a two-time British Open Champion (1887, 1889), who also holds the professional course record of 70, set in 1905.
The course is situated on gently sloping parkland with stunning views of the Lauderdale District. It features notable holes including 'The Wood' and 'The Quarry,' which present significant challenges for low-handicap golfers while remaining accessible to players of all abilities. With 17 tees available, visitors can play off the back tees, making Lauder considered one of the fairest tests of golf in the Scottish Borders.
The course is known for combining its challenging layout with the region's natural landscape, offering an excellent day's golf. The club maintains an active membership drawn from across the Borders and Edinburgh area and welcomes visitors to experience its unique 'Borders Hospitality.'
