Lake Karrinyup Country Club is Western Australia's premier private golf course, located in Karrinyup on a 353-acre property featuring a natural lake. Designed by Alex Russell, the 1924 Australian Open champion and design partner of Alister Mackenzie, the course was established in 1928 and has been consistently rated among Australia's top ten golf courses.

The layout has undergone significant refinement, with major course works completed in 2017-18 under Michael Cocking, including upgraded greens, bunkers, and improved air circulation. A two-grass policy (couch and bent) was implemented to address turf challenges.

Lake Karrinyup has an exceptional tournament history, hosting multiple Australian Opens (1952, 1960, 1968), won by Norman von Nida, Bruce Devlin, and Jack Nicklaus respectively. The course also staged the 1979 WA Open featuring world-class players including Seve Ballesteros, the Johnnie Walker Classic (2002-2003), and the ISPS Handa Perth International (2012-2016). The Australian Amateur Championship has also been played here.

The course is characterized by its natural landscape setting and has maintained its integrity as a prestigious championship venue while serving as a private members' facility.
