Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course

Lac Vieux Desert Golf Course is an 18-hole course nestled within the Ottawa National Forest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, located behind Northern Waters Casino. The course was developed in two phases: the first nine holes were designed by Mattingly Kuehn Golf Design in 1998, with the second nine designed by Bob Lohmann and Todd Quitno in 2008.

The course is designed to accommodate all skill levels with generously wide fairways at landing zones planted with quality bluegrass maintained at half-inch length. As a member of the UPGA, the roughs present a significant challenge to test player skill and discipline. The setting offers North Woods scenery with views of the surrounding Ottawa National Forest landscape.

Amenities include a clubhouse with dining options, a pro shop stocked with quality brand name equipment and apparel, and beverage service available during play. The course features outdoor seating with umbrellas and allows cigar smoking on the property. Veterans with Freedom Rewards club cards receive a 25% discount on play.
