Located in Lévis, Quebec, just ten minutes from the Pierre-Laporte and Quebec bridges, Golf La Tempête is a 36-hole facility designed by Darrell and Warren Huxham of Huxham Golf Design. The club opened in 2005 with the original 18-hole Parcours Nord, followed by the addition of the Parcours Sud in 2024. The new southern course spans more than 7,300 yards from the championship tees and features seven sets of tees to accommodate various skill levels. The layout is characterized by generous fairways, imposing greens, and a parkland-style environment that integrates water features and panoramic views. The course is situated on a vast property that allows for an intimate playing experience, with each hole designed to feel distinct and secluded within the natural landscape. The Huxham design emphasizes modern aesthetics and strategic challenges suitable for international competition. The facility includes high-end motorized carts, unlimited practice balls, and extensive training facilities managed by a team of PGA-certified professionals. The club’s business model, founded by André Raymond, Jean-François Fillion, and Serge Dussault, focuses on flexibility and accessibility, allowing members to share annual playing rights. Golf La Tempête has established a significant history in hosting major professional and amateur events. In June 2009, the course hosted the Skins Mondial Telus, where Geoff Ogilvy won the tournament, drawing over 6,000 spectators. The facility also hosted the PGA Tour Champions Quebec Championship in September 2014, won by Wes Short Jr., which was broadcast to millions of viewers worldwide. Looking ahead, the club is scheduled to host the 2026 Canadian Collegiate Championship, further cementing its status as a premier golf destination in the Quebec region.
