La Contenta Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course with a par of 72 that plays to 6,141 yards from the back tees. Designed by Richard Bigler and opened in 1973, the course is nestled within the picturesque Sierra Foothills at the heart of the historic "Gold Country" in Valley Springs, California. The course features a blend of meadow and valley fairways and rolling terrain highlighted by the dramatic drop of the signature 13th hole.

The signature hole at La Contenta Golf Club is hole 13, a 178-yard par-3 which drops 100 feet from off the tee to an L-shaped green almost completely surrounded by water. Hole 9, a 392-yard par-4, is the number 1 handicap hole on the course, while the easiest hole is hole 17, a 309-yard par-4. The course presents a challenging layout with water features coming into play on several holes and strategically placed bunkers.

The course has undergone a bent grass conversion, eliminating most poa annua grasses to achieve the purest of putting surfaces. La Contenta Golf Club has been one of northern California's most popular public courses for more than three decades. The layout affords outstanding vistas of the surrounding area on virtually every hole.
