Kinds Golfklubb is situated in Svenljunga, southern Västergötland, with the course positioned along the river Åssman and surrounded by lakes that frame the playing experience. The 18-hole layout was designed by architect Jan Sederholm, with construction beginning in October 1987 and the course opening for play during Easter weekend 1990 after an official inauguration ceremony. The course plays to a par of 72, featuring two par-5 holes, two par-3 holes, and fourteen par-4 holes, with multiple tee boxes available in blue, green, white, yellow, orange, and red to accommodate different skill levels. The front nine presents a mixed challenge with the par-5 first hole, a par-4 second, a par-3 third, followed by another par-4, the second par-5 at the fifth, and continuing through a sequence of par-4s and a par-3 at the seventh. The back nine maintains similar variety with par-4 holes dominating the layout, providing a balanced test that rewards accurate ball-striking across all three playing surfaces. The natural setting along the Åssman river and the surrounding lakes create a distinctive character for the course, with the water features and woodland elements integrated throughout the routing. The club has maintained a consistent identity since its founding, hosting regular club competitions and seasonal tournaments that draw both members and visitors to the southern Västergötland golf scene.
