Kennett Square Golf & Country Club is located in the heart of Chester County, Pennsylvania, tucked within southern Pennsylvania's rolling hills on 135 acres of nature preserve. The 18-hole Donald Ross course is artistically laid in the historic Toughkenamon Valley between two ridges. The club opened in 1922 with a 9-hole course designed by Donald Ross, and the second nine was built in the late 1930s and designed by William Gordon.

The par 71 golf course is characterized by rolling terrain, mature tree-lined fairways, and carefully tended greens, with more than 80 bunkers, numerous elevations, and strategically located water hazards that test golfers of all abilities. The course plays 6,416 yards from the Black tees and features a good mix of short and medium sized holes. In the 2000s, the club retained Bradley Klein and Paul Albanese to develop a master restoration and bunker plan towards a unified Ross style throughout.

The course is generally well-routed with nicely moving and thought out greens, where contours are used nicely and bunkering is effectively placed yet used selectively, with Ross character felt throughout and strategy based on how the golfer uses the natural surrounds.
