Set on a spectacular 400-hectare estate in the Winterberg Mountains near Fort Beaufort, Katberg Eco Golf Estate features an 18-hole championship golf course ranked in South Africa's top 100 by Golf Digest. The par 72 course measures 6,300 metres and comprises four par 3s and four par 5s, designed to follow the natural undulating contours of the land. Kikuyu fairways and bent grass greens flow organically across the terrain, with strategic bunkering adding complexity to each hole. The course is fully irrigated by satellite system. Surrounded by dramatic mountain views, the layout presents balanced yet challenging golf. A notable feature is a waterfall positioned between the 17th and 18th holes. Located at 930 metres elevation, the estate includes a manor clubhouse with restaurant, bar, pro-shop, tennis courts, and swimming pool. The property also offers self-catering villas, an equestrian centre, mountain spa, and access to nearby trout fishing and natural attractions including San rock art sites.
