Karana Downs Golf Course ☆ Follow

Brisbane River Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-66 course located in the scenic suburb of Karana Downs, Queensland, Australia. The course is steeped in history, dating back to its formation in 1979. Approximately 30km from the Brisbane CBD, it proves one of the hardest courses in the region to master.

Fairways meander around water hazards, bunkers and woodland, with each hole presenting questions of risk and reward when contemplating the best route to the green. Oxley Creek, a tributary of the Brisbane River, cuts through the course, while Moolabin Creek flows into the eastern edge. Water comes into play on 12 holes across the property. The greens are in great condition throughout the course, with some tricky slopes evident and hole positions changing regularly.

Each year, Brisbane River Golf Club hosts the flagship River Cup, bringing players from across Australia to attempt to tame the course.
