John A. White Golf Course

John A. White Golf Course is a public-access 9-hole regulation par-35 course located in Southwest Atlanta, approximately 7 miles from downtown. Originally opened in 1929, the course underwent major renovations in 1999 by designers Billy Fuller and Bob Cupp, with bunkers and greens updated again in 2022. The course is characterized as quick, fun, fair, and challenging to play, offering both an accessible experience for casual rounds after work and opportunities for skill development at its full practice facility. The course has been featured on Golf Channel and is recognized as one of Atlanta's hidden gem golf courses. Home to The First Tee of Atlanta, the facility serves the community through both recreational play and organized outings. A new clubhouse complex is currently under construction, featuring senior activity center facilities, casual dining, event space, conference rooms, and an indoor golf area, though the course itself remains operational during this development.
