Inverell Golf Club, established in 1907, is an 18-hole course located in Inverell, New South Wales. The club's history reflects significant development, beginning with six holes at Lion's Park along the Macintyre River before relocating to its current site in Ryan's Paddock in 1925. The course comprises two main sections: the Bottom Nine, acquired in 1950, and the Top Nine, developed from leased lands in the late 1920s through early 1930s.
The course layout evolved through considerable volunteer effort and challenging land clearing, as the site was heavily timbered with substantial stone masses. A water scheme installed between 1962 and 1966 supports grass greens, and the club continues to maintain its infrastructure through community involvement.
Notable aspects include the club's rich competitive history, with distinguished club champions including Liz Hobday with 17 championships and John Coote with 16. The club has produced several professional golfers from its junior ranks, including the Moses twins and Bath twins. Today, Inverell Golf Club operates with online tee time booking and automated competition management systems while maintaining its traditional values and community engagement.
