Innisfail Golf Course Top 100 Review

Innisfail Golf Club, established in 1928, is located in Tropical North Queensland, approximately one hour south of Cairns. The course features a 9-hole design that can be played as an 18-hole composite layout, offering championship-quality golf with striking tropical views. Situated in the heart of the region, the course provides a challenging experience suitable for golfers of all abilities.

The club is set in a tropical landscape and was significantly impacted by Cyclone Larry in 2006, which destroyed nearly 200 Kauri Pines and altered the course layout. The facility includes a spacious timber "Queenslander" style clubhouse with a fully licensed bar and covered balcony overlooking the 1/10 tee and 9/18 green.

The course is maintained to high standards by volunteer members and operates as a public access facility. It is registered with the Far North Queensland Golf Association (GolfLink Course Number 40611) and hosts regular tournaments including the Innisfail Open and Innisfail Classic.
