Indian Canyon Golf Course is a historic 18-hole public course located atop the west entrance to Spokane, offering scenic vistas overlooking the downtown skyline. Designed in 1930 by renowned architect H. Chandler Egan, the course has been recognized by Golf Digest multiple times as one of the top 25 public courses in the United States.
Built on a dramatic canyon wall with a 240-foot vertical drop amid towering pines, Indian Canyon presents a unique and challenging playing environment. The course spans 6,255 yards with a par of 71 and features well-bunkered fairways and undulating greens that demand accuracy and precision. The hilly terrain and diverse landscape create distinct playing conditions throughout the round.
The course has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including three U.S.G.A. championships: the United States Amateur Public Links Championship in 1941 and 1984, and the United States Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in 1989. These tournament appearances underscore Indian Canyon's reputation as a championship-caliber public golf facility in the Pacific Northwest.
