Huyton & Prescot Golf Club is a parkland course founded in 1905, located in Huyton, Merseyside, approximately ten miles outside Liverpool and easily accessible from motorway networks. Built on the grounds of a former family estate, the course features mature landscaping with tree-lined fairways and undulating greens that present a challenging test of golf despite not being exceptionally long. The terrain and design demand thoughtful course management and golfing ability.
The 18-hole course is widely regarded as one of the finest in the North West region. Notable features include the historically wet 7th green, which has undergone significant drainage improvements, and various water features that enhance both drainage and aesthetics. The club is currently undertaking a comprehensive 7-stage development plan focused on improving drainage, turf health, and playability across multiple holes including the 3rd through 7th and 13th through 17th.
The course caters to both competitive golfers and casual visitors, with an active membership known for welcoming guests. The setting provides a relaxing yet challenging environment suitable for tournaments, corporate events, and society play.
