The Hotchkiss Golf Course, designed in 1924 by prominent architect Seth Raynor, circles the Hotchkiss School campus in Lakeville, Connecticut. This nine-hole course measures just over 3,000 yards with a par of 35, offering challenging play with spectacular views of Lake Wononscopomuc and the Berkshire-Taconic mountains.

Raynor's design so impressed Charles Banks, a Hotchkiss English teacher, that Banks became passionate about golf course architecture and eventually partnered with Raynor. After Raynor's death in 1926 at age 42, Banks completed over 30 of his unfinished courses and returned to Hotchkiss in the 1930s to reconfigure several holes.

The course has received significant recognition, including ranking in Golfweek's Best Courses You Can Play (2023), Golf.com's historical feature (2022), and Golf World Magazine's list of 25 best nine-hole courses in America (2010, ranked 22nd). It was also ranked 10th in Golfweek's "Best Places You Can Play" in 2016. Open to members and daily fee players, the course operates seasonally from April through dusk, with membership options available.
