Horizons Golf Resort is an award-winning 18-hole championship course located in Salamander Bay, Port Stephens, New South Wales. Designed by renowned Australian golf architects Graham Marsh and Ross Watson, the course features a par-72 layout stretching 6,187 metres from the back tees. Set amidst wetlands and beaches, the course is characterized by its exceptional design with 85 strategically placed bunkers, picturesque lakes and waterways throughout, and manicured bent grass greens acknowledged as among the best in New South Wales. The layout incorporates 7.5 kilometres of cart paths and a boardwalk through the wetlands. Since its inception in 1992, the course has gained national recognition and is ranked in the top 100 Australian courses. The terrain features dog-leg holes with varied difficulty, elevated greens, and water hazards that challenge golfers of all levels. The course is also notable for being a sanctuary to native wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, enhancing its natural setting.
