Hondo Golf Course is a 9-hole facility located in Hondo, Texas, originally constructed in July 1954 at the former Hondo Air Base. The course features a flat-links layout with trees and 13 bunkers, playing to a par 36 with two sets of tees. Maximum yardage reaches 5,964 yards, offering moderate challenge across its relatively compact design. Notable for its absence of water hazards, the course presents a straightforward golfing experience suitable for players of varying skill levels.

The facility serves as a community gathering space, hosting numerous tournaments throughout the year including the Hondo-D'Hanis Rotary Club tournament, Lions Club tournament, and Knights of Columbus tournament. The course is known for its family-oriented atmosphere and hosts both traditional and unconventional events featuring novelty formats. A weekly Wednesday Scramble runs from March through summer. Located off Highway U.S. 90 on Castro Street, the course operates Tuesday through Sunday from 8am to dusk, maintaining its role as a valued recreational asset for the local community.
