Hinehopu Golf Club is a 9-hole course with par 70 (men) and par 71 (women) located on the northeastern shores of Lake Rotoiti in Rotoiti Forest, Bay of Plenty. Founded in 1985, the course is situated on historically significant Maori customary land known as the Tahuna Block, overlooked by the spiritual mountain Matawhaura. The layout can be played as 18 holes using alternate tees, offering a scenic country course experience surrounded by native bush and forest.

The course emphasizes enjoyment over difficulty, featuring tree-lined stretches and varied hole lengths that appeal to both beginners and experienced players. Well-maintained greens and fairways challenge golfers requiring accuracy, while the setting provides stunning views of Lake Rotoiti and surrounding landscape. The course holds cultural significance to the local Ngati Pikiao people, as the land follows the historic route known as Hongi's Track (Te Ara a Hinehopu), used by Chief Hongi Hika in the early 1800s.

Facilities include a welcoming clubhouse open on club and tournament days with light refreshments and bar service, changing rooms, shower facilities, and practice areas. The course welcomes visitors and is known for its relaxed atmosphere and accessibility for travelers.
