Hillendale Country Club is located at 13700 Blenheim Rd No, Phoenix, Maryland 21131, Baltimore County. The course first opened for play in 1954 and was designed by William and David Gordon. The par is 72 and the course measures 6844 yards. The slope is 136. The course features Bent Grass greens and Rye Grass fairways.

The course has some extremely narrow holes, with most of the greens being small and well bunkered. Water hazards come into play on seven holes. Bob Cupp made golf course changes such as the redesign of the 13th hole and the connection ponds on the 5th and 6th holes. Additional improvements in 2009 included new bunkers, forward tee boxes for women and seniors to make the game more enjoyable, tee boxes to challenge the accomplished player, and irrigation system upgrades.

The longest hole on the course is #1, a par-5 that plays to 539 yards, while the shortest hole is #15, a par-3 that plays to 172 yards from the back tees. Hole #5, a 432-yard par-4, is identified as the #1 handicap hole on the course.
