Hillcrest Golf Club

Hillcrest Golf Club is a 9-hole regulation course located in Millinocket, Maine, situated in the Katahdin Region. Designed by Larry H. Striley and opened in 1930, the course was originally constructed as a 6-hole layout before being expanded to 9 holes in 1949. From the longest tees, it measures 2,477 yards with a par of 33, offering a course rating of 32.0 and slope rating of 104.

The course is characterized by sloping greens and hilly fairways that present a moderate challenge to average golfers. Its most notable feature is the exceptional views of Mt. Katahdin and the surrounding region, which define the scenic setting. The terrain is hilly with undulating fairways and challenging green complexes typical of courses in Maine's mountainous landscape.

Hillcrest operates seasonally from late April through mid-October. The facility hosts various tournaments throughout the season and serves as an active community golf venue, offering memberships, leagues, and regular Wednesday luncheons at the clubhouse, which provides light food and beverage service.
