Highview Golf Course

Highview Golf Course is an 18-hole semi-private/public facility located 15 minutes south of North Bay on Highway 11 in Powassan, Ontario. Originally a 9-hole course purchased by the Harrington family in 1986, it was expanded to its current 18-hole layout in 1992. The course measures just over 5,200 yards from the back tees and plays as Par 70 (Par 72 from red tees), with six Par 3s, eight Par 4s, and four Par 5s. Built on a game preserve with rolling terrain, the course features both tight, tree-lined fairways and open holes, with several incorporating water hazards. Notable holes include the 5th hole dogleg and the 7th hole island green. The Par 4s offer the best scoring opportunities, while Par 3s and Par 5s present greater challenges. The course welcomes both members and green fee players and maintains practice facilities including two multi-cup practice greens and a short game area. A clubhouse completed in 2000 houses a fully licensed restaurant and snack bar.
