Highland National Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal course that reopened in spring 2005 following a two-year renovation. The course stretches 3,200-6,600 yards at par 72 with a 71.2 rating, offering increased length and challenge compared to its previous iteration. The layout features mature trees framing a variety of hole designs with four tee options to accommodate different skill levels.

Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the course is characterized by large bent grass greens and water hazards affecting play on 10 of 18 holes. Highland National blends modern amenities with traditional course character, featuring a full-service clubhouse with bar and outdoor patio, beverage cart service, and two practice putting greens.

The signature 15th hole showcases a distinctive "Snoopy" shaped bunker, created with permission from Jean Schulz to honor her late husband Charles Schulz, a renowned cartoonist who learned golf at this course. This iconic feature was highlighted in Golf Digest. During winter months, the property transitions to cross-country skiing when weather permits.
