Higashikogaoka Marine Hills Golf Club is located in Tamano, Okayama Prefecture, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. The 1.7 million square-meter facility opened in May 1992 with course design by Takenaka Civil Engineering. The layout features wide, flat fairways combined with strategic design elements characteristic of championship-caliber courses.
The 18-hole course is notable for its scenic setting with signature holes including the 18th, the longest hole with a slight downhill character. A water hazard fronts the green, with expansive bunkers along the right side. The 16th hole is a straight downhill hole offering views of the Seto Inland Sea's multiple islands.
The club has hosted significant professional tournaments, including the 2007 Japan Tour event where Ryo Ishikawa achieved the youngest victory in domestic tour history. Since 2010, the LPGA Step-Up Tour Sanyo Shimbun Ladies Cup has been held at the course, attracting members of the "Golden Generation" of Japanese women golfers including Hinako Shibuno and Minami Katsu.
Amenities include a clubhouse with sea and green views, a natural hot spring bath, and guest lodges with views of the 9th hole.
