Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course stretching 6,708 yards, designed by Billy Bell, the architect of Torrey Pines. Located in Lake County, California, approximately 30 minutes north of Calistoga, the course is nestled against coastal mountains that provide protection from fog and congestion.
The course features richly varied holes with spectacular vistas throughout. Its signature hole is the dramatic 15th, which features a 250-foot drop to the fairway below. The layout incorporates five water hazards and four different tee placements, offering multiple difficulty levels for various skill levels.
Hidden Valley Lake's setting includes nearly year-round sunshine, mature 100-year-old oak trees, and stunning mountain views that characterize the course's scenic appeal. The terrain and design create a challenging yet aesthetically pleasing experience. The course has earned recognition as a Gold Medal winner in Lake and Mendocino Counties.
Beyond golf, the facility offers an adjacent RV park and campground with modern amenities, Stay & Play packages, and proximity to regional attractions including Clear Lake for boating and fishing, wine tasting, hot springs, and hot air ballooning.
