Sunnmøre Golfklubb, located in Hareid municipality just outside Ålesund, operates a nine-hole golf course designed by Tor Eia. Situated in Hovden, approximately 4.5 kilometers from the Hareid center along National Road 61, the layout is classified as an open park course set within the natural landscape of Sunnmøre. The course plays to a par of 74 and is characterized by its varied holes, which are interspersed with significant water features, including rivers and water bodies surrounding and crossing parts of the fairways. The course is described as a fine park course with varied holes, offering a distinct experience compared to traditional links layouts. The design by Tor Eia integrates the natural environment, with water elements playing a prominent role in the routing and challenge of the nine holes. The club also provides access to a driving range and a golf simulator utilizing Trackman technology, which offers data on shots and access to over 100 virtual courses. The clubhouse is available for rental for events such as weddings and confirmations, accommodating up to 60 guests.
