Hampshire Country Club, located in Dowagiac, Michigan, comprises two 18-hole courses offering 36 holes of play. The original Hampshire Country Club course, designed by Edward Lawrence Packard and opened in 1961, stretches over 6,600 yards from the white tees and exceeds 7,000 yards from the blue tees. This majestic layout hosted Western Amateur qualifying rounds for many years and has been rated by the Golf Association of Michigan. Dogwood Trails, the second course added in the 1990s and designed by Dwayne Dammeyer and Steve Wells, measures 6,200 yards from white tees and over 6,800 yards from blue tees. It features scenic wooded and rolling terrain characteristic of Southwest Michigan's landscape. Both courses are maintained as public facilities and represent the realization of founder Rolfe Wells' vision to provide a well-maintained golf course to the region. The courses are family-operated by the second generation of the Wells family and continue to serve the local community and visiting golfers.
