Hamada Links Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 layout situated in Hamada, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. The course opened in June 1997 and was designed by Hiroaki Furumon of Kumagai Gumi. Set across gentle hills, the terrain provides a flat and spacious environment that allows for a comfortable round while still challenging players to read the wind and terrain for strategic shot-making. The course features Bentgrass greens and offers multiple tee boxes to accommodate various skill levels, with yardages ranging from 2,336 yards on the red tees to 3,609 yards on the front nine from the back tees. The total yardage from the back tees reaches 7,077 yards, with a course rating of 73.2. The layout is divided into a front nine and a back nine, each carrying a par of 36. Strategic elements are highlighted by specific holes that test different aspects of a golfer's game. The sixth hole is noted as a driving distance challenge, while the seventh and thirteenth holes serve as near-pin tests. The eighteenth hole also presents a significant driving challenge, requiring precision off the tee. The course is designed to stimulate the competitive spirit of all golfers through its strategic design. Located near the Hamada East Interchange of the Sanin Expressway, the course is accessible from JR Hamada Station. It operates as a self-service facility, requiring players to load their own bags and clean their clubs. The course includes a driving range with 14 bays, a restaurant, and locker facilities. The layout is designed to be accessible to both beginners and advanced players, with the fresh sea breeze adding to the playing conditions.
