Grafton Golf Club is a 72 par, 18-hole golf course located in South Grafton, New South Wales, positioned in the picturesque Clarence Valley. The golf club originally started in 1903 on the Grafton racecourse, then moved to the south of the Grafton area in 1954. The course boasts lush fairways and well-maintained greens, with the course undulating and offering couch greens, limited water and a tight layout.
The course proves challenging to the true golfer, yet pleasantly gentle to the less experienced player. The course measures 6124 yards and features bent grass greens. The strategic layout blends natural beauty with a diverse range of holes that test precision and strategy. A distinctive feature of the course is its natural setting, where visitors and members are treated to the amazing sight of kangaroos hopping all over the course, with anywhere from 50 to 100 kangaroos visible on a good day.
The Clubhouse Bar & Bistro is located at the top of South Grafton hill overlooking the Golf Course. The club provides excellent practice facilities, including a driving range and putting green. The course is open to the public and welcomes visitors for play, dining, and functions.
