Gove Country Golf Club

Gove Country Golf Club is a picturesque 9-hole golf course located in Nhulunbuy on the coast of Northeast Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The all-grass course features alternate tee positions that create a Par 72 layout (ACR 71) measuring 6,110 metres, providing a full 18-hole experience from a single set of nine holes.

Established in 1970, the club relocated to new premises in December 2005. The course is set in a coastal landscape characteristic of Northeast Arnhem Land, offering scenic views befitting its picturesque designation. The layout balances accessibility with challenge through its alternate tee system, accommodating various skill levels.

The club has a strong tournament history, hosting numerous Pro-Am events and the 54-hole handicap Gove Gulf Amateur Open, which draws competitors from throughout the Northern Territory and interstate. Facilities include a licensed bar for members and bona-fide guests, along with The Golfie Kitchen restaurant. The course serves as a notable regional golfing destination supporting both local play and visiting golfers seeking tournament competition in remote Australia.
