Designed by James McDonald, the Gorham golf course opened in 1961. Gorham Country Club is an 18-hole public golf course located in Gorham, Maine, 15 miles from downtown Portland. The course measures 6,509 yards at par 71. The championship course covers 180 acres of Maine State Game Preserve. The 18-hole, par-72 course is renowned for its meticulous design and harmonization with the natural landscape, stretching over 6,450 yards from the back tees and offering challenges from strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to undulating fairways and greens.

The course features scenic beauty set amidst rolling hills and mature woodlands, treating golfers to picturesque views. Golfers enjoy generous fairways and gentle greens while experiencing wildlife. The course is characterized by varying difficulty levels, accommodating both beginners and experienced golfers. The course operates seasonally from April through November.
