The Golfclub Obere Alp is situated on a high plateau in the southern Black Forest near the Swiss border, featuring a flat 27-hole layout that spans 112 hectares. The course is designed by German golf course architect Karl F. Grohs and consists of a championship 18-hole course with a par of 72, alongside a separate 9-hole course with a par of 60. The setting provides views of the Swiss Alps, including the Säntis, Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. The 18-hole championship course is characterized by wide, long fairways and a lack of significant elevation changes, yet it presents a sporting challenge through the use of 58 bunkers, three ponds, and thick rough. The course features a mix of par 3, 4, and 5 holes, with the longest hole for men reaching 453 yards on the 4th hole and the shortest being a 163-yard par 3 on the 3rd hole. The design demands tactical play and precise shot-making from golfers of all skill levels. The 9-hole course serves as a training ground or a quick round option, featuring narrower fairways and numerous bunkers that challenge players across all handicap levels. It is composed of a mix of par 3 and par 4 holes, with the longest being a 295-yard par 4 and the shortest a 110-yard par 3. The facility also includes a driving range and allows the use of golf carts on the course.
