Golf-Club Bergisch Land, located in Wuppertal, is among Germany's oldest and finest golf courses, founded in 1928 by Willy Schniewind, who later served as president of the German Golf Association. In 2024, the club was ranked 12th among Germany's top 50 golf courses by Golf Magazin, a ranking conducted every four years.

The club has a strong sporting heritage, notably serving as home to two of Germany's most accomplished golfers, Marcel Siem and Martin Kaymer, during their amateur careers. Currently, the club fields 13 competitive teams in league play across North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond, including three youth teams.

Golf-Club Bergisch Land emphasizes family-friendly golf and youth development, offering structured training programs for children and adolescents aged three to 18, ranging from recreational play to competitive golf. The club places significant importance on welcoming culture and community engagement, supplementing its training offerings with social events, outings, and festivals that strengthen member bonds.
