Golfclub Bayreuth's Links Course is an 18-hole championship layout designed by renowned architects Thomas Himmel and Joan F. Dudok van Heel. Set in the gentle rolling hills of the Rodersberg region, the course offers panoramic views extending across Bayreuth to the Fichtelgebirge and Franconian Switzerland mountains.

The Par 72 course stretches from 4,964 to 5,992 meters across five tee options and features 50 strategically placed bunkers with large, undulating greens, including a notably large 650-square-meter green on hole 12. The terrain creates dynamic gameplay with approximately 60 meters of elevation change between holes 2 and 10, incorporating frequent sidehill lies and varied topography.

The design blends traditional links-style characteristics with the natural diversity of Upper Franconia, incorporating water features, biotopes, and modern fairway irrigation. Holes 9 and 10, situated two kilometers from the clubhouse, provide distinctive isolation. A more moderate routing through holes 1-6 and 15-18 offers shorter alternatives.

The course hosted the 2012 Bayreuth OPEN EPD Tour with 119participants, demonstrating its tournament-caliber standards and challenging conditions that remain characteristic of the layout today.
