Golfanlagen SSZ Köln-Wahn e.V. is a nine-hole golf course located in Köln, Germany, situated at Frankfurter Str. 320. The facility is designed to accommodate a range of skill levels, offering a layout that provides a sporty challenge for advanced and experienced players while allowing beginners to intensively practice their short game. The course features varied terrain with difficult water hazards and strategically placed bunkers that define the playing experience. The course layout is characterized by specific local rules regarding penalty areas and drop zones. Yellow-marked penalty areas are present on several holes, including the 1st, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 9th holes. When a ball comes to rest in these yellow-marked areas behind the greens and is deemed unplayable, players must drop from designated zones with the addition of one penalty stroke. For instance, the 5th and 14th holes share a green complex where balls landing in the blue area require free relief in the same drop zone. Additionally, the fairways of the 1st and 10th holes are subject to specific drop regulations if a ball lands to the right of the red marking. All paved and unpaved paths on the property are considered part of the course. The facility includes a driving range, which is utilized by the archery department on Mondays from 4:00 PM. The course opens at 8:00 AM for green irrigation purposes. The club hosts regular competitions, including Senior Golf on Thursdays and a Par-3 Challenge on Saturdays, adhering to the official rules of the German Golf Association (DGV). The course also implements specific local rules for balls lost or out of bounds, allowing relief with a penalty stroke under defined conditions.
