The golf course boasts one of Spain's oldest and most historically significant pedigrees. Golf was officially introduced at the facility in March 1907 with the blessing of King Alfonso XIII and Queen Victoria Eugenia, making it among the earliest golf courses in Spain and Europe. The course has been substantially modernized, with all fairway surfaces converted from clay to grass between 1998 and 2001, and equipped with an automated irrigation system to ensure consistent playing conditions.

Beyond golf, the Club de Campo El Tiro functions as a comprehensive sports facility, offering multiple courts for paddle tennis and traditional tennis, along with a swimming pool.
