Golf de la Côte des Isles is an 18-hole course located in Saint-Jean-de-la-Rivière, near Barneville-Carteret and Portbail in Normandy. The course has a par of 67 and spans approximately 4,620 to 4,631 meters. It is divided into two distinct nine-hole sections: the Dunes and the Mielles. The layout was originally designed by architect Didier Fruchet and landscape architect Henry Tesson, with the second nine-hole section added later under the design of Robert Berthet. The first nine holes, known as the Dunes, opened in April 1990. This section is situated on the coast, offering views of the Cap de Carteret and Jersey, and is described as a links-style course. The second nine holes, called the Mielles, opened to the public in August 2014. This part of the course integrates bocage (hedgerow) landscapes and features water hazards, with views of the villages of Saint Jean and Saint Georges de la Rivière. The course is managed by an association founded in December 1987. Since January 1, 2024, the golf course has been operated by a private entity, EGS, under a public service delegation. The facility also includes a practice area with about fifteen stations, some of which are covered, and a six-hole pitch and putt course with a par of 18 and a length of 445 meters. The club organizes regular competitions throughout the year, including weekly Wednesday events and weekend tournaments. These competitions are registered through the ISP system and include formats such as singles, scrambles, and three or four-player games. The club also offers golf instruction through a PGA France-certified teacher.
