Golf du Cognac is an 18-hole championship course with a par 72 layout spanning 6,148 meters, designed by Jean Garaïalde. Located in Saint-Brice in the Charente region of France, the course sits on over 60 hectares of former Martell family vineyards, positioned along the banks of the Charente River between vineyards and forests.
The course features a rolling terrain with strategic water hazards, numerous bunkers, and tree-lined fairways that create a challenging yet accessible experience for both beginners and experienced golfers. The setting offers panoramic views overlooking the Charente with flowering features and small streams integrated throughout the layout. Notable characteristics include wide fairways bordered by woodlands and strategically positioned greens.
The design balances natural beauty with playability, offering progression opportunities for developing players while presenting meaningful challenges for accomplished golfers. The course is situated on historic viticultural lands, creating a harmonious integration between golf and the natural landscape of the Cognac wine region. Additional facilities include practice areas, a golf shop, instruction, and an on-site restaurant.
