Golf d'Evian (Evian Resort Golf Club) is an 18-hole, par 72 championship course measuring 6,120 metres (6,693 yards), set in 148 acres of wooded parkland in Évian-les-Bains, Haute-Savoie, in southeastern France. The course dates back to 1904, when Willie Park Jr. was commissioned to build a 9-hole layout on the site, with the full 18-hole configuration established two decades later. A major redesign was undertaken in 1989 by Cabell B. Robinson, and the course was further overhauled ahead of its elevation to major championship status, with an $8 million renovation in 2012–13 addressing tees, fairways, greens, and bunkering.
Situated on the shores of Lake Geneva at the foot of the Alps, the course occupies hilly, undulating terrain with significant elevation changes throughout. Robinson's redesign minimised unnecessary uphill climbing while retaining a layout that demands strategic and precise play. The par-3 holes are particularly exacting, requiring accurate ball flight to hold greens guarded by water and bunkers. The 15th, a downhill par 3 with sweeping lake views, is widely regarded as the course's signature hole. The closing holes feature tightening fairways and well-protected greens that reward controlled, disciplined golf.
The Evian Championship has been hosted here since 1994, growing from a Ladies European Tour and LPGA co-sanctioned event into one of the five LPGA major championships from 2013. It remains the only women's major played on the same course each year, with past champions including Annika Sörenstam and Lydia Ko.
