Club Golf d'Aro - Mas Nou is an 18-hole championship course located in Platja d'Aro on the Costa Brava, designed by renowned architect Ramón Espinosa and completed in 1990. The course received the award for Best Golf Course in Europe in 1992 and remains one of the most highly regarded courses on the Costa Brava.
Situated at approximately 350 meters elevation on a hillside, the course offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Gavarres mountains, the Pyrenees, and Montseny mountain. The terrain features rolling topography with significant elevation changes that create scenic vistas throughout the round. The layout incorporates two large artificial lakes and is surrounded by mature trees.
The course is considered technically demanding and challenging, designed to test golfers of varying skill levels. It has hosted significant tournaments including the Open Martini (1990), Open Catalonia (1992), and Catalonia Ladies Masters (2006). Club Golf d'Aro has achieved recognition for its environmental commitment, becoming the third golf course in Catalonia and sixth in Spain to obtain GEO Certification for sustainability. The facility also includes a Pitch & Putt course, golf academy, 4-star hotel, and restaurant.
