Located in the Luhansk region of Ukraine, specifically in the village of Pryvite in the Slaviansk Serb district, First Golf Club stands as the country's first golf course. Opened in 2004, the facility is situated approximately fifteen minutes from the center of Luhansk, along the highway connecting Luhansk, Shchastya, and Kharkiv. The course is set within a landscape described as an ecological island in the Donbas region, featuring a park-like setting with green architecture that integrates rest areas and leisure facilities. The golf course was designed by a team of Czech architects, with shaping and finishing operations carried out by the Czech firm Philipp - Sportovni Travniky under the supervision of Lubos Gruber. The construction utilized professional equipment and materials, including Barenbrug seeds, Scotts fertilizers, and Toro irrigation and maintenance systems supplied by the Slovak firm ENGO. The layout consists of nine holes, as indicated by local rules that specifically reference the ninth hole and its island green. The course has hosted competitive events, including serving as the venue for the first stage of the fifth open Championship of Ukraine, the Ukraine Golf Cup 2008. Local rules for the course specify that water hazards are marked with yellow stakes, while lateral water hazards are marked with red stakes. Stones in bunkers are classified as movable obstructions, and artificial roads, sprinklers, and trees are considered immovable obstructions. The ninth hole features a unique rule allowing one drop shot if the ball enters the water, with subsequent water balls being dropped from an island zone near the green, a provision that does not apply to tournament play. The club maintains an EGA certificate and adheres to standard golf etiquette, requiring appropriate attire and prohibiting slow play. It has historically functioned as a center for promoting the sport in Ukraine, aiming to combine healthy lifestyle practices with comfortable recreation. The facility includes a pro shop and has been associated with the Chervo Club brand, serving as a hub for both professional and amateur golfers in the region.
