Golf & Countryclub Salzburg Klessheim

Golf & Country Club Salzburg-Klessheim is a 9-hole course located in the historic Baroque park of Schloss Klessheim in Wals, near Salzburg, Austria. The course was redesigned in 2000 by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and has been operating since 1955.

The layout features Par 70 from multiple tee positions with varying difficulty levels. From the men's yellow tees, the course has a Course Rating of 70.9 with a Slope of 130. The course presents strategic challenges throughout, including several dog-leg holes, water hazards, bunkers, and strategically placed trees. Notable holes include the strong right dog-leg at hole 4 with a narrow green protected by a pond and deep bunker, and hole 6, a short Par 5 with a narrow fairway and two-plateau green.

The setting within the historic castle park provides an idyllic atmosphere. The facility includes a comprehensive practice area with a spacious grass range, eight covered bays, chipping and pitching greens, and bunkers for practice. The club also offers professional instruction through its golf school and features an on-site restaurant, Hubers, providing dining after play.
