Golf & Country Club Leipzig's Championship Course is an 18-hole course located in the idyllic Machern golf resort in the Mulde Valley near Leipzig. Originally established in 1998, the course underwent complete redesign in 2010 and 2013 to reflect the region's natural landscape. The layout incorporates numerous water features and biotope zones throughout, creating both visual appeal and strategic challenge.

The course accommodates all handicap levels while maintaining sporting difficulty. Notable characteristics include the iconic opening hole featuring a St. Andrews-style bridge, an island green on hole 11 offering panoramic views of the entire course, and multiple signature holes with water hazards and strategically positioned bunkers. The course features distinctive doglegs, elevated greens, and significant elevation changes, particularly on holes climbing through the valley terrain.

The par-5 opening hole and lengthy par-5 fourth hole provide opportunities for longer hitters, while shorter par-3s and par-4s offer fair chances for mid-handicap players. Throughout the layout, precise shot-making is rewarded, with undulating greens and strategically placed greenside bunkers demanding accurate approach play. The course emphasizes the valley's natural topography, with water hazards and rough terrain integral to hole design.
